HVAC / Residential Maintenance Tech. PTU
About The Position
Provide maintenance on residential heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards, ensuring a high-quality customer experience. This role involves performing routine maintenance, identifying potential issues, communicating findings to customers, and maintaining company vehicle stock and tools. The technician will also perform duct cleanings, travel to job sites, and participate in training to stay updated on industry technologies. Additionally, they will identify opportunities for additional business, such as new system installations or service contracts.
Requirements
- Minimum High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Previous HVAC experience preferred
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints is preferred
- Must possess or be able to acquire EPA certification within 3 months of entering the position
- Knowledge of duct cleaning practices preferred
- Basic written and verbal English language communication skills
- Demonstrate commitment to developing customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record, insurable by company insurance
- Ability to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers
- Possess excellent time-management and communication skills
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work outside in a wide range of temperatures
- Willingness to further develop skills through training seminars and classes
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of HVAC equipment
- Identify potential problems affecting current or future performance
- Effectively communicate findings with customers
- Maintain good working order of company vehicle, report any mechanical issues
- Maintain proper stock, parts, tools and safety equipment in company vehicle
- Perform duct cleanings at residential locations
- Travel to job sites within service area; work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated
- Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies
- Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts and additional services)
- Other duties as assigned
