About The Position

The successful candidate will perform preventive, predictive and emergency repairs and replacement/installation to all HVAC, refrigeration, appliance and cooking equipment.

  • Must be able to move in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts and weekends as required
  • Must be available for on-call work
  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a journey person working with commercial and residential installations
  • Must be licensed in Ontario as a refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic 313A
  • Must have a G-2 gas license or greater
  • Must have ODP certification
  • Must have a valid Ontario G driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Oil license is also an asset

Responsibilities

  • Conducts internal safety and security audits and correct deficiencies through program and or policy development
  • Comfortable making responsible decisions and develops recommendations for effective problem solving
  • Works with hand and power tools, electrical test equipment and refrigeration equipment
  • Follows all policies and procedures laid out in the Engineering SOP manual
  • Must have working knowledge of all legal issues in compliance with MOE/OSHA
  • Makes all preventive, predictive and emergency repairs and replacement/installation to all HVAC, refrigeration, appliance and cooking equipment throughout the property
