About The Position

Carmel Country Club is seeking an experienced HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to join our Facilities Team. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and building mechanical systems throughout our 380-acre campus. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to move away from the demands of residential or commercial service work and into a stable, team-oriented environment with consistent hours and a focus on preventive maintenance and long-term facility care.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC/Refrigeration experience.
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
  • Strong understanding of electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and equipment schematics.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with commercial refrigeration systems preferred.
  • Experience with water source heat pumps is highly desirable.
  • HVAC Journeyman License or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in hospitality, country clubs, hotels, healthcare, or institutional facilities.
  • Knowledge of building automation or control systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance software or CMMS.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment including: Water Source Heat Pumps, Rooftop Units, Split Systems, Exhaust and Make-Up Air Systems, Ventilation Equipment
  • Maintain commercial refrigeration equipment including: Walk-in Coolers and Freezers, Reach-in Refrigerators and Freezers, Ice Machines, Beverage Cooling Equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical and control systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
  • Install new HVAC and refrigeration equipment as needed.
  • Respond to equipment failures in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using the club’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Assist with capital improvement projects and equipment replacements.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized services are required.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable mechanical, electrical, and safety codes.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service when necessary.
  • Assist other Facilities Team members with general maintenance projects as workload permits.
