About The Position
Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of Physical Plant Services is seeking an HVAC Refrigeration Master Mechanic. This role is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems and refrigeration units across the campus. The position requires independent judgment and will serve as a lead worker for other HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic positions.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Appropriate EPA refrigerant recycling and recovery certification for technicians (as required under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act, 1990). Southeastern requires a Type IV, Universal Certification.
- Three years of experience or training in the installation and/or maintenance of heating, ventilating, or air conditioning systems.
- Must list all Education and Work Experience on the application, indicating if the job was full-time or part-time and the percentage of time spent on duties.

Nice To Haves
- Ability to be certified through the Southeastern Defensive Driving Course.
- Candidate selected for the job will be allowed up to 30 days to acquire the required EPA certification.
