About The Position
F.H. Furr is hiring a Residential HVAC Quality Assurance Technician to ensure all installed or serviced systems meet high standards of safety, performance, and craftsmanship. This non-sales role is ideal for experienced HVAC professionals seeking steady, year-round work without sales pressure. The position focuses on diagnosing issues, fine-tuning systems, providing quality feedback, and ensuring work is done correctly.
Requirements
- Strong residential HVAC experience
- Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems, airflow, duct design, and performance standards
- Professional communication skills—able to give clear, constructive feedback
- Comfortable using tablets or mobile devices for documentation
- Ability to work independently in a field‑based role
- Valid driver’s license (must be at least 21 per company policy)
Responsibilities
- Perform quality assurance inspections on residential HVAC installations and service work.
- Verify systems are installed and operating according to manufacturer specifications, code requirements, and company standards.
- Check airflow, refrigerant levels, electrical connections, ductwork, and overall system performance.
- Identify workmanship issues, safety concerns, or performance gaps and document findings clearly.
- Complete inspection reports accurately using mobile service software.
