Position Purpose To ensure that project leads that come into the Service Department are designed, estimated and sold in a timely fashion and are completed at or under planned costs. To develop new customer contacts on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

  • Good technical knowledge and experience in HVAC
  • Strong interest in technical sales
  • Proven sales/customer relations skills
  • Physical ability to access job sites, including some climbing
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two-year technical school degree in HVAC a plus
  • Previous engineering experience in HVAC preferred but not required
  • Strong communication, organization and supervisory skills

Responsibilities

  • Identify prospects in assigned market.
  • Promptly follow up on leads and referrals.
  • Establish customer rapport and identify needs.
  • Maintain an active backlog of quotes to ensure booking goal is consistently met.
  • Plan and efficiently schedule appointments and manage personal time to assure maximum productivity.
  • Continually utilize and maintain CRM tool.
  • Qualify prospects, identify project solutions, estimate costs, make effective sales presentations, and answer questions and objections in a proficient and responsible manner.
  • Aggressively manage quotes and close sales.
  • Survey mechanical systems.
  • Understand prospect’s needs and problems.
  • Determine repair, modification and/or replacement requirements to provide prospects with solutions to problems.
  • Interpret drawings, equipment and job conditions.
  • Interacts with all divisions for cross selling opportunities.
  • Add value to the customers by proactively looking for ways to save energy and forecast equipment replacement needs.
  • Handle key accounts as assigned.
  • Public relations – entertain and build relationships with current customers.
  • Stay current on mechanical systems, appropriate codes and industry standards.
  • Establish relationships with vendors to obtain pricing, delivery and technical information as needed.
  • Establish and follow through on a personal and professional development plan.
  • Support and maintain a safe and Lean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned/needed.
