About The Position

The HVAC Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of HVAC projects, ensuring their successful completion within budget, timeline, and quality standards. They coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in HVAC project management or a related field, demonstrating progressively increasing responsibilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, installation, maintenance, and repair processes.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools to track progress, monitor costs, and manage documentation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
  • Familiarity with industry codes, regulations, and standards related to HVAC installations and energy efficiency.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
  • Knowledge of HVAC equipment, materials, and suppliers to make informed decisions and recommendations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Strong leadership abilities to lead and motivate project teams, ensuring collaboration and achieving project goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address project challenges and conflicts.

  • Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting.

  • Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
  • May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
  • Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/ scaffolding using appropriate fall protection requirements.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Norrell Construction is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are a plus.
  • Industrial Environment Experience is preferred.

  • Negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and procuring equipment and materials.
  • Creating and maintaining project schedules, allocating resources, and managing project budgets effectively.
  • Conducting inspections and quality audits to identify and rectify deficiencies.
  • Enforcing safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
