About The Position

This role will oversee OOS projects from their planning phase through their financial close. This person must be well organized, able to learn and understand different contract methodologies, maintain great relationships with clients, and plan necessary work while responding to corrective issues with an efficient and creative approach.

Requirements

  • 5 years project management
  • Experience in facilities planning and/or construction management processes and procedures
  • Experience in estimating, budgeting, and scheduling practices
  • Knowledge of costs of new construction, escalation factors, and market trends
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards of practice
  • Knowledge of laws governing construction contracts and contracting
  • Knowledge of construction materials and methods
  • Skills in reading and interpreting blueprint drawings and specifications and ability to compare them with construction progress
  • Proactive and professional verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong accountability and a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to self-manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Develop conceptual plans and budget for Campus projects
  • Coordinate project completions with building management, vendors, and JCI staff
  • Prepare proposals and conduct all necessary meetings to facilitate project execution
  • Assist or lead project design phase with customer
  • Permitting process, collaborating with City/State Inspectors for approvals
  • Monitors and reports on all phases of project execution
  • Coordinates all parties involved to maintain project completion timeline and budget
  • Collaborates in peer-to-peer conversations regarding project execution in the P3 structure
  • Conduct pre- and post-project meetings when necessary
  • Maintains building drawings with Architect of Record to maintain current as-builts
  • Generate monthly and annual reports related to assigned projects
  • Meet with clients on a regular basis
  • Meet internally to review bid documentation, ensure O&M services are covered
  • Collaborate with other team members for Lifecycle planning efforts
