About The Position

This entry-level position offers the chance to learn about the HVAC industry, commission, service, and maintain advanced commercial equipment. Requirements

  • Two years practical working experience in residential, light commercial, or commercial mechanical equipment.
  • Adherence to the company Safety Program.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.
  • EPA Refrigerant Certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of Commercial and/or industrial work experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the maintenance and minor repair of pumps, VFD’s, Air Handling Units, and Rooftop units.

Responsibilities

  • Commission, service, and maintain advanced commercial equipment.
  • Consult with customers on comfort, building inefficiency, and other service-related issues.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
  • Recommend solutions to ensure facilities are running efficiently.
  • Identify enhancements that will provide customer systems reliability and sustainability.
  • Provide labor and material quotes to support recommendations.
  • Participate in weekend, night, and holiday call-out service on a rotating basis.
  • Assist Journeymen in the repair and service of centrifugal, absorption, screw, and scroll chillers.
