About The Position

Johnson Controls, a leading Building Technology OEM for Healthcare, Manufacturing, Higher Education, K12, and Commercial Real Estate, is seeking skilled HVAC Tradesmen to join their growing business. This role offers the opportunity to increase HVAC knowledge and learn from top HVAC teams, with factory certification through their Service Technical Academy (STA). The position involves servicing and maintaining advanced heavy commercial and industrial equipment, acting as a trusted advisor to customers to solve comfort and building inefficiency issues.

Requirements

• Adherence to the company Safety Program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Willingness to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.
• This is a Bargaining Unit Position.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installations and drive results, mentored by peers and other work assigned by the Employer, limited only by their capabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Respond to basic warranty calls.
• Keep JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
