About The Position
Our client is currently seeking a full-time HVAC Mechanic to support their contract to provide operations and mechanical maintenance services. This full-time union position offers vacation, sick leave, paid holidays and pension plan in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. HVAC Mechanics will receive an hourly pay increase based on the job classification/qualifications/duties.
Requirements
- One of 3 listed certifications (NATE, HVAC Excellence, UA Star)
- EPA Universal CFC certification
- GSA approval
- Minimum of (5-8) years' experience in building maintenance and operation, maintaining facilities and working on large commercial heating and air conditioning equipment.
- Competent to perform operations, preventive and corrective maintenance on Client, boilers, chillers, hot water heating systems, domestic water plumbing systems, air handlers, VAV components, and other various HVAC equipment and building systems.
- General maintenance knowledge on how to operate and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D is required.
- Universal EPA or CFC certification is required.
- Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License is required.
- Achieve NATE certification within 6 months of employment.
