About The Position

As an HVAC Mechanic at JLL, you'll support the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems that keep our facilities running smoothly. This role combines hands-on technical work with collaborative problem-solving as you assist the core team in maintenance and repair efforts while independently performing defined tasks across your assigned properties. You'll conduct thorough inspections of interior and exterior areas, troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues, and ensure all building equipment operates at peak performance. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a steadfast commitment to safety in everything you do. Requirements

  • Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
  • Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • 3 -5 years of working experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or HVAC Mechanic in commercial, industrial or residential areas.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and navigate confined spaces

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions
  • Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed Policies & Procedures.
  • Successful candidate must be a self-motivated individual who can work independently or in a team environment.
  • Must pass background, drug/alcohol

Responsibilities

  • Complete building rounds and document findings, system readings, and equipment performance in accordance with established procedures
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to HVAC systems, motors, pumps, compressed air systems, and water systems
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal operation
  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and identifying potential hazards during daily activities
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and respond to service requests for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment
  • Maintain a positive working relationship across all operations facilities and collaborate effectively with team members
  • Diagnose system failures using testing instruments, building automation systems, and technical manuals
  • Replace defective components including motors, belts, filters, valves, and controls as needed
