About The Position

Skillforce is seeking experienced HVAC Technicians and Mechanics for work in Ashburn, VA. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, be comfortable performing physically demanding work, and be willing to work on rooftops and at heights. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the skills necessary to perform HVAC and mechanical work effectively.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and electrical schematics.
Comfortable performing physically demanding work.
Willing to work on rooftops and at heights.
Strong work ethic.
Attention to safety.

Responsibilities

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioners, heaters, ventilation units, and refrigeration equipment.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and extend equipment lifespan.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues and execute repairs.
Install new HVAC systems and components according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with facility managers regarding system status and recommendations.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental guidelines during all maintenance and repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency service calls to minimize downtime and maintain occupant comfort.
