About The Position

Aramark Facilities is hiring a skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to support a single-site campus in Alamance County, NC. In this role, you will perform daily preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, cooling towers, and condensing units, while monitoring Building Automation Systems (BAS). You will troubleshoot equipment issues, respond to service calls, and help keep systems running safely and efficiently. This is a steady, full-time Monday–Friday position with minimal overtime and occasional on-call needs. You will work alongside an experienced senior technician and gain exposure to large-scale mechanical systems not typically found in residential work. This is a great opportunity for an experienced HVAC technician looking to build skills in commercial maintenance and controls.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting experience (commercial or industrial preferred)
  • EPA Universal Certification (required)
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and safety practices
  • Experience working with large systems such as chillers, cooling towers, or similar equipment
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Availability for Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule with occasional on-call or overtime
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb, and work in mechanical rooms or outdoor conditions

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification or technical training credentials
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) or HVAC controls
  • Background in commercial campuses, manufacturing, or industrial facilities
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and documentation

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems including chillers, cooling towers, condensing units, and air handling equipment
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
  • Monitor and adjust Building Automation Systems (BAS) to ensure proper system performance
  • Respond to service calls and resolve HVAC issues quickly and safely
  • Check, clean, and replace filters; maintain ducts, ventilation systems, and mechanical components
  • Calibrate and maintain HVAC controls and related equipment
  • Complete maintenance logs, preventative maintenance schedules, and work orders
  • Maintain tools, parts inventory, and equipment needed for daily operations
  • Follow safety procedures and work with electrical and mechanical systems safely
  • Work closely with a senior HVAC technician and support ongoing system improvements
