About The Position

As an HVAC Lead Technician at JLL, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the comfort, safety, and efficiency of our commercial properties in Corvallis, Oregon. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with technical certification in HVAC or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC maintenance and repair
  • At least 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity demonstrating leadership and team management skills
  • EPA Universal Certification (Section 608) as required by federal regulations
  • Strong knowledge of building automation systems and energy management controls
  • Proven troubleshooting skills with various HVAC equipment manufacturers and models
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record for travel between properties
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation as needed
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in HVAC Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Oregon electrical license (LEB or LME) through the state
  • Additional certifications such as NATE, ASHRAE, or manufacturer-specific credentials
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship through a JATC or state-approved apprenticeship program
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order tracking and documentation
  • Knowledge of LEED certification requirements and sustainable building practices
  • Experience working in large commercial or multi-building campus environments
  • Familiarity with advanced building automation platforms and IoT-enabled HVAC controls

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex HVAC system issues including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handling units, and building automation systems
  • Conduct and oversee preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime across all commercial properties
  • Supervise and mentor junior technicians to ensure high-quality work standards while fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Coordinate with building management and contractors to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to occupants
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all service work, inspections, and equipment history using computerized systems
  • Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures efficiently to restore comfort and safety
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations in every aspect of your work
  • Recommend system upgrades and energy efficiency improvements to reduce operational costs and enhance sustainability
  • Manage inventory of parts, tools, and equipment necessary for daily operations and long-term maintenance planning
