HVAC Lead Service Tech
About The Position
Florida Home AC, in partnership with American Residential Services (ARS), is hiring a residential HVAC service technician to serve the Orange Park, Ridgewood, and Lakeside areas. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential heating and air conditioning systems, while recommending appropriate solutions and communicating clearly with homeowners. Service work must meet company standards and local code requirements. This is full-time, year-round work with multiple day and shift options. Compensation is performance-based/commission, with stated annual earning potential of $60,000–$100,000 based on performance. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 may be available based on experience and interview.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of residential HVAC experience.
- EPA certification.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work in attics and crawlspaces and lift heavy HVAC equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioning units.
- Perform HVAC repairs, service calls, and preventative maintenance.
- Identify system issues and recommend appropriate heating and air conditioning solutions.
- Ensure HVAC service work meets company standards and local code requirements.
- Communicate clearly with homeowners about system performance and recommended repairs.
- Deliver professional customer service while completing service and repair work.
