About The Position

Columbia NW Heating & Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced and dependable HVAC Lead Installer to join our team. In this role, you'll lead residential HVAC installations, mentor installer helpers, and ensure every job is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Requirements

  • 5+ years Residential HVAC installation experience required
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and understand installation specifications and manufacturer guidelines
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and safety

Responsibilities

  • Lead residential HVAC installations from start to finish, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards
  • Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, indoor air quality products, and related HVAC equipment
  • Direct and mentor Installer Helpers, providing on-the-job training and ensuring adherence to company installation standards
  • Troubleshoot installation issues and perform equipment startup, testing, and system commissioning
  • Install and modify flex duct and sheet metal duct systems as needed for each project
  • Verify proper installation, programming, and operation of thermostats and system controls
  • Review job specifications, ensure all required materials and equipment are loaded, and maintain an organized job site
  • Conduct final system inspections, explain system operation to homeowners, and ensure complete customer satisfaction before leaving the job
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean, safe, and working condition
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable codes and regulations
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, team members, and management throughout each project
  • Attend required meetings, training sessions, and company events
  • Perform other duties as assigned
