Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, or repair in residential settings.
  • Solid understanding of residential HVAC systems and installation practices in a residential setting.
  • Familiarity with local HVAC codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in using power tools, hand tools, testing instruments, and HVAC specific equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with team members and customers.
  • Physically capable of performing the demands of the job, including lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to complete paperwork and job documentation accurately.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel to job sites as needed.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Pre-employment background check and drug screening are required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead residential HVAC installation projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Supervise and mentor installation technicians, promoting safety and efficiency.
  • Install HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related components.
  • Interpret equipment layout and installation requirements.
  • Test systems for leaks, pressure, and performance using appropriate diagnostic tools; adjust settings to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Review blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure proper installation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues on-site.
  • Collaborate with installation coordinators, managers, sales supervisors, and other trades (e.g., electricians, plumbers, HVAC) to ensure seamless project execution and integration with other building systems.
  • Educate clients on system operation, maintenance practices, and energy-saving tips to ensure long-term performance and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, system specifications, photos, and customer interactions.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site, including tools, equipment, and service vehicle, to promote efficiency and safety.
