About The Position

This is a full-time HVAC Journeyman position located at Cenovus Christina Lake North. The role involves working a 14/14 shift schedule with 12-hour days. Camp accommodations and travel are provided. The position requires adherence to safety guidelines, approved processes, and procedures on the job site, effective communication with supervisors and crew members, and cohesive teamwork. Successful candidates must pass a drug and alcohol test and a fit for work exam.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Valid Drivers Abstract - No more than 4 demerit points
  • Valid HVAC Journeymans Certificate
  • H2S Alive training
  • CSTS 2020
  • Standard First Aid
  • WHIMIS 2025
  • Confined space certification
  • Fall Protection certification

Responsibilities

  • Inspection of existing heating, refrigeration and air conditioning infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Diagnose condition of existing heating, refrigeration and air conditioning infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on existing “trade” infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Recommend best-fit solutions for existing “trade” infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Service and repair existing “trade” infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Construction of new heating, refrigeration and air conditioning infrastructure.
  • Assembly and installation of new and replacement heating, refrigeration and air conditioning infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Communication of inspections, diagnoses, preventative maintenance, recommendations, construction, service / repair, and installation of heating, refrigeration and air conditioning infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Documentation of inspections, diagnoses, preventative maintenance, recommendations, construction, service / repair, and installation of heating, refrigeration and air conditioning infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Follow safety guidelines, approved processes and procedures on the job site.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to minimize disruptions and maximize productivity.
  • Work cohesively with teams of employees or contractors.
  • Communicate in a polite and courteous manner.
