About The Position

As a Mechanical Service Technician, you will perform all HVACR necessary to keep existing facilities and systems within those facilities operating in an efficient manner. This work can include the inspection, service, maintenance, start-up, testing, balancing, adjusting, repair, modification and replacement of mechanical and refrigeration equipment and components including related piping connections and controls. In addition, any other service, maintenance and operations work as assigned by the customer as well as work on any temporary systems. Southland Industries is a signatory contractor of local union 286. We are ideally looking for someone currently located in the Portland Metropolitan area.

Requirements

• 5 years experience as a Mechanical Service Technician (Journeyman level).
• Knowledge of Packaged units, Vrf systems, Ductless mini splits, Chiller and Cooling Towers, Boilers, VAV’s preferred.
• EPA Universal (Preferred for Apprentice/Tradesman).
• 1-5 years of Commercial/ Industrial HVAC (for Apprentice/Tradesman).
• 1-5 years of Commercial/ Industrial Refrigeration (for Apprentice/Tradesman).

Nice To Haves

• Low voltage license (Preferred for Journeyman).
• Pressure vessel license (Preferred for Journeyman).

Responsibilities
