About The Position

CIMCO is seeking an experienced HVAC Journeyman Chiller Mechanic to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and chiller systems. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, service calls, and working with various systems including electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls. The ideal candidate will operate independently, manage multiple service calls, and maintain accurate service documentation. This is an existing vacancy that we are actively looking to fill.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment; chiller experience preferred
Valid ODP certification
Experience with major chiller manufacturers (e.g., Carrier, Trane, York, Daikin, McQuay, Multistack, Smardt)
Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, controls, and refrigeration systems
Knowledge of advanced equipment such as centrifugal and screw chillers, VFDs, and control panels
Familiarity with building automation systems and related technologies
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Strong customer service/communication skills

Nice To Haves

313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic License considered an asset

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and chiller systems across various equipment types
Perform preventive maintenance and service calls to ensure optimal system performance
Work with electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control systems to identify and resolve issues
Communicate effectively with customers regarding system status, repairs, and recommendations
Maintain accurate service documentation and reports for completed work
Operate independently while managing multiple service calls and priorities
Adhere to all safety standards, procedures, and company policies while on-site
