About The Position
Universal Technical Institute is seeking an experienced HVACR Technician to become an Instructor. This role involves shaping students' minds and skills, guiding them towards successful careers in various industries. The position emphasizes hands-on learning and interactive teaching to inspire the next generation of HVACR technicians.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years of practical work experience in refrigeration, commercial, residential, mini splits, boilers, etc. (excludes teaching)
- EPA 608/Universal /OSHA 10-30 highly valued
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective connection with students and fellow staff
- A patient and empathetic approach to teaching, understanding that every student learns at their own pace
Responsibilities
- Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students can flourish, fostering their passion for the HVACR industry while imparting expert knowledge.
- Lead by example and provide practical demonstrations, ensuring students gain real-world experience in diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
- Collaborate with the education team to enhance existing courses and develop new ones that align with industry trends and advancements.
- Guide and mentor students on their projects, encouraging them to think critically and find innovative solutions.
- Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices to ensure a secure working environment for students.
