About The Position

Universal Technical Institute (UTI) is seeking an experienced HVACR Technician to join their team as an Instructor. This role offers an opportunity to mentor and train the next generation of technicians. UTI provides comprehensive training for individuals new to teaching, emphasizing the importance of drive, patience, skills, and passion. As an HVACR Instructor, you will play a crucial role in shaping students' minds and skills, using your expertise in heating and air conditioning systems to guide them toward successful careers. The position involves hands-on, interactive teaching to inspire students in modern HVACR technology.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years of practical work experience in refrigeration, commercial, residential, mini splits, boilers, etc. (excludes teaching)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective connection with students and staff
  • A patient and empathetic approach to teaching, understanding that every student learns at their own pace

Nice To Haves

  • EPA 608/Universal /OSHA 10-30 certifications are highly valued

Responsibilities

  • Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students can flourish, fostering their passion for the HVACR industry while imparting expert knowledge.
  • Lead by example and provide practical demonstrations, ensuring students gain real-world experience in diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
  • Collaborate with the education team to enhance existing courses and develop new ones that align with industry trends and advancements.
  • Guide and mentor students on their projects, encouraging them to think critically and find innovative solutions.
  • Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices to ensure a secure working environment for students.
