About The Position
Universal Technical Institute (UTI) is seeking experienced HVACR professionals to transition into a rewarding career as an instructor. This role offers a stable, predictable daytime schedule with weekends off, eliminating the physical demands and stress of on-call shifts and constant travel associated with field work. UTI provides comprehensive paid training for those with hands-on experience and a desire to mentor the next generation of technicians. The position involves teaching in a climate-controlled environment, guiding students through practical training and diagnostics, collaborating with an education team, and promoting safety procedures.
Requirements
- 4 years of practical work experience in the HVACR field within the past 10 years (excludes teaching)
- EPA 608/Universal certification is highly valued.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience to guide beginners who are eager to learn.

- Prior teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Share real-world insights, troubleshooting tips, and industry stories in an engaging, climate-controlled learning environment.
- Guide students through practical demonstrations and diagnostics without the pressure of billing hours or rushing to the next job site.
- Work alongside an education team to keep courses aligned with modern HVACR tech trends and advancements.
- Instill safety procedures and best practices in a secure, well-equipped workshop setting.
