Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid EPA Section 608 certification (Universal preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in HVAC installation (residential/light commercial).
  • Proficiency with HVAC equipment, electrical systems, refrigeration, ductwork, and codes.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Clean Illinois driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs., work in attics/crawl spaces, climb, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Honest, hardworking, willing to work overtime and be on-call.
  • Team-oriented attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school, apprenticeship, or NATE certification.
  • Experience with Carrier equipment.
  • Skills in ductless mini-splits, boilers, smart home integrations, or high-efficiency systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A genuine desire to satisfy customers.

Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC systems—furnaces, AC units, coils, ductwork, smart thermostats, humidifiers, air purifiers, and more.
  • Decode blueprints and schematics to ensure code-perfect, energy-efficient installs.
  • Fabricate ductwork, hook up refrigerant lines and wiring, and perform testing, leak detection, and startup.
  • Identify opportunities for upgrades that save customers money and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain clean job sites, organized tools, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service, explaining the technology and answering questions.
  • Collaborate with the team for on-time and on-budget project completion, documenting progress.
  • Uphold company values of integrity, hustle, and doing things right.
