About The Position
Lickety Split AC Plumbing & Electric is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Installer to join their team in Jacksonville / St. Augustine, FL. This is a full-time, year-round position with the potential to earn $100,000–$150,000+ through a combination of base pay and performance bonuses. The company emphasizes an "Airflow First, Quality Always" approach, valuing craftsmanship and system performance. They are looking for individuals who are dedicated to doing installs the right way, taking pride in their work, and providing excellent customer service. The role involves performing residential HVAC installations, including change-outs, system upgrades, and indoor air quality solutions, with a focus on verifying and optimizing system performance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of residential HVAC install experience (lead installer preferred).
- Ability to read static pressure, duct sizing, and airflow reports — or willingness to learn.
- Takes ownership of installs and ensures they are done correctly.
- Takes pride in leaving a system cleaner, tighter, and better-performing than found.
- Treats customers like family — no shortcuts, no BS.
- Wants to be paid for their worth and performs accordingly.
- Shows up on time, ready to go, with a clean van and a clean uniform.
- EPA Certification (required)
- Valid driver’s license with clean record
- Able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong mechanical skills — sheet metal, ductwork, brazing, startups, airflow balancing
- Able to lift up to 80 pounds and work safely at heights and in attics
Nice To Haves
- NATE Certification (preferred but not mandatory)
Responsibilities
- Perform residential HVAC installs with an airflow-first mentality — every system tested, verified, dialed-in.
- Deliver clean, professional, high-quality work that you’re proud to sign your name to.
- Communicate clearly with customers — explain your work, educate when needed, and leave no questions behind.
- Handle change-outs, system upgrades, and IAQ solutions (air purification, dehumidification, zoning, etc.)
- Verify static pressure, airflow balancing, ductwork integrity — we don’t “slap and dash.”
