The HVAC Installer - Residential role involves the independent installation of various HVAC components, including ductwork, piping, flex systems, and vent systems for furnaces, water heaters, bath vents, kitchen hoods, and downdraft appliances. The installer is responsible for all start and test duties without supervision, such as setting up drain lines, thermostats, refrigerant piping, TXV's, zoning systems, variable capacity systems, and Bluetooth systems, as well as installing residential equipment like generators. The position requires executing RNC rough-in installations and performing tasks in diverse and challenging environments, including rooftops, crawlspaces, attics, basements, concrete structures, and extreme weather. A key aspect of this role is the collaboration with and oversight of apprentices, ensuring their work adheres to GSM Standards and relaying information from Plan of Attack Meetings. The installer is also accountable for managing their own time and that of apprentices, ensuring quality control, setting up inspections, and collecting payments from clients.
