About The Position

ABACUS Austin is seeking residential HVAC Install Helpers to join its team. The position supports installation work across all brands and types of HVAC units, including equipment start-up, handling tools and supplies, and adjusting or connecting system components. The role also involves communicating with management, dispatch, and customers; maintaining accurate invoices and timesheets; and keeping job sites and trucks clean, organized, and inventoried.

Requirements

• Must have an EPA license.
• Registration as a technician with TDLR is required.
• 2–5+ years of experience in service, installation, maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting, and correcting diverse HVAC system issues.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations.
• Results-driven approach in a high-energy environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Service Titan experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of all brands and types of HVAC units.
• Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from workstations and other areas.
• Perform equipment start-up.
• Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts using hand or power tools.
• Communicate efficiently with management, dispatch, and customers to support company success.
• Keep accurate invoices and timesheets.
• Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and an inventoried truck.
