Reporting to the Install Manager, the Install Technician is responsible for overseeing and performing the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position involves ensuring a successful execution of installations, and training the Install Apprentices on their team, as well as maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-year driver’s license with clean abstract
  • 2+ years of HVAC installation experience
  • Problem solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform precise and code-compliant installations of HVAC systems.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly set up, tested and operational upon completion.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during installations.
  • Explain the installation process to customer and address their questions or concerns.
  • Conduct a final walk through to demonstrate system operation and confirm customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, professional workspace in customer homes.
  • Follow established standard operating procedures (SOP's) for installations.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide constructive feedback to improve installation techniques and reduce callbacks.
  • Prepare and organize all necessary equipment and materials before arriving at the job site.
  • Monitor and report inventory needs or equipment issues.
  • Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Actively participate in the company safety program, ensure job site safety at all times, and maintain cooperation to OH&S guidelines.
  • Conduct scheduled vehicle inspections.
  • Stay updated on local code and compliance requirements.
  • Use tools and equipment responsibly to prevent accidents or damage.
