HVAC Installation Helper
About The Position
Freedom Air & Plumbing is hiring an HVAC Installation Helper to support residential HVAC work in Rockledge and Florida’s Space Coast. The company provides air conditioning and heating repair, replacement, and maintenance, as well as year-round residential and light commercial projects. The helper assists technicians with light repairs and installations while learning the trade. The role calls for a professional, courteous approach in customers’ homes, safe work practices, accurate paperwork, and an organized job site and truck. Paid technical training, career development, and opportunities for advancement are offered. Requirements
- At least one year of HVAC installation experience is preferred.
- Must provide own tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school is a plus.
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring and connections.
- Comfort working in crawl spaces and attics and climbing ladders.
- Excellent math, people, and problem-solving skills.

- Technical school education.

Responsibilities
- Assist the technician with light repair and installation work.
- Observe and learn all aspects of the HVAC trade.
- Wear floor savers in customers’ homes and maintain a neat work area while performing repairs or scheduled service.
- Present professionally and knowledgeably to help earn referrals and repeat business.
- Treat customers courteously, respectfully, and pleasantly.
- Complete paperwork accurately and on time.
- Follow the company Code of Ethics and Team Rules.
- Maintain a clean, organized job site and a well-inventoried truck.
- Follow safety practices on the job and while driving.
- Participate actively in training exercises, morning meetings, and retreats.
- Ensure field safety best practices are followed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
