About The Position

To provide maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of commercial heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards, providing the customer with a high-quality experience. Provide feedback to Service Manager regarding technical training needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in operating hand and power tools, especially shop equipment used for metalworking.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members and shop supervisors.
  • Basic computer knowledge, with the ability to interpret and input simple data for documentation purposes.
  • Ability to utilize a tablet or shop-related software for inventory and job tracking.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to read a ruler to 1/16".
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to interpret diagrams, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Standing and walking for durations which could exceed 8 hours in a day.
  • Use hands and fingers to operate machinery, handle, and feel objects.
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds when necessary.
  • Perform tasks that require bending, squatting, and reaching overhead.
  • Climb stairs, ladders, and walk on uneven terrain

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience of 1+ years of commercial or residential HVAC installation experience.
  • Preferred Universal EPA Certification

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems
  • Perform diagnostic tests using tools such as pressure gauges and multimeters to identify system malfunctions.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, and lubricating moving parts, to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems, including motors, compressors, thermostats, and control systems.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shop environment.
  • Load and unload materials from deliveries, storing them appropriately within the shop.
  • Inspect tools and equipment to ensure safe and proper function.
  • Follow all company and safety regulations and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support field and on-site installation efforts as needed.
  • Support supervisors and fellow team members in the completion of daily tasks.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
