About The Position

Alco Air is seeking an experienced Lead Installer to take on a leadership role in HVAC installations. This position requires a skilled individual who prioritizes clean, code-perfect work and exceptional customer experiences. The Lead Installer will manage their own installations, mentor an assistant, and set high standards for the team. The role offers a performance-based pay structure with earning potential over $80K, directly linking skill and drive to compensation. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience leading HVAC installations (required)
  • EPA Certification
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or at heights

Responsibilities

  • Own the proper installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems from start to finish.
  • Lead and train the installation assistant.
  • Ensure every job is executed to code and industry standards.
  • Communicate with customers before, during, and after the install to deliver a 5-star experience.
  • Protect and care for each customer's home throughout the process.
  • Accurately complete every pre-install, safety, and post-install checklist.
  • Create a customer experience that exceeds expectations.
  • Maintain professionalism and clear communication throughout the installation, ensuring the customer is fully prepared to operate their new HVAC system upon completion.
  • Install HVAC systems — including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and ductwork — to minimum standards and installation manual requirements.
  • Perform thorough start-up and testing of installed systems to ensure proper operation, and complete and sign the Safety, Quality, and Assurance Report.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use protective equipment as required, completing and signing the Job Site Hazard Analysis Report (JHAR) before beginning work.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used, and call into the Project Management Team upon completion to communicate any issues and replenishment needs.
  • Collaborate with team members and project managers to complete installations on schedule.
  • Stay current with industry standards, building codes, and licensing requirements.
