About The Position

Marshall’s Specialty Services is seeking an HVAC Install Helper to assist with installations of heating and air conditioning systems, accessories, and ductwork to company standards while providing the customer with a high-quality experience. This role operates under the supervision and guidance of a senior level installer, with the potential to perform basic tasks unsupervised. Requirements

  • Must pass drug and background screens.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable through the company insurance carrier.
  • Able to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • EPA Certified or obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • Ability to work with tools used in the job in a safe manner.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure down to the ⅛”.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installations of heating and air conditioning systems, accessories, and ductwork to company standards.
  • Provide the customer with a high-quality experience.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  • Maintain required levels of truck stock items.
  • Properly use safety equipment daily, including gloves, back brace, lifting harness, and safety glasses, with continual observation of surroundings and team members.
  • Clean the interior of the vehicle daily, ensuring it is free of trash, debris, unused food and drink, and that the floor area is free from falling or rolling items.
  • Assist the lead installer with the weekly vehicle inspection report.
  • Operate company vehicle following all safety standards and applicable laws.
  • Follow instructions from the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Immediately report any problems with company tools or vehicles to the office.
  • Work well with customers, co-workers, and other subcontractors.
  • Properly prepare the job site using drop cloths, moving furniture or obstructions, and preparing surface areas using floor protectors.
  • Clean the job site, leaving it in a condition better or equivalent to when the team arrived, including moving trash and debris, sweeping or vacuuming, and removing all tools, parts, and equipment.
  • Properly remove and support ductwork per code.
  • Properly remove equipment per code.
  • Use and perform workflow process on service software through a mobile device.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
