About The Position

We are looking for motivated HVAC Install Assistants to work alongside experienced HVAC Installers completing residential heating and cooling system installations. This position offers hands-on training, the opportunity to learn in the field, gain practical experience, and build a long-term career in the skilled trades. We are seeking individuals who are mechanically inclined, hardworking, and ready to build a career in HVAC, offering full-time, year-round work, great benefits, and a real opportunity to grow into an HVAC Installer.

Requirements

Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in HVAC
HVAC experience, trade school
A strong desire to learn and develop a career in the HVAC trade
Ability to follow directions and learn from experienced technicians
Willingness to receive coaching and apply feedback
Dependability and a strong work ethic
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Strong attention to detail
Commitment to quality workmanship and safety
Professional communication and customer service skills
Respect for customers, their homes, and their property
Ability to work in a physically active, hands-on environment
Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and varying indoor and outdoor conditions
Willingness to continuously learn and improve
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screening

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation of residential air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, thermostats, and related HVAC equipment
Help prepare equipment, materials, tools, and jobsites for installation
Assist with removing existing HVAC equipment
Transport and organize equipment, materials, and tools
Learn proper HVAC installation techniques and procedures
Assist with equipment replacements, upgrades, and new installations
Follow instructions from Lead Installers and experienced team members
Learn how to identify and troubleshoot basic installation issues
Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards
Keep jobsites clean, safe, and organized
Protect customers' homes and property while work is being performed
Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners
Help ensure customers receive an exceptional experience from start to finish
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles
Complete required job documentation as assigned
Represent the One Hour brand with professionalism, reliability, and integrity
