About The Position

The HVAC Helper will assist HVAC Technicians in installing, repairing, and maintain heating, ventilations, and air conditioning systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment.

Requirements

• Must have 0-2 years as an apprentice/helper in HVAC field.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
• Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Norrell Construction is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of ductwork, including measuring, cutting, and sealing ducts, as well as supporting the installation of grilles, diffusers, and registers.
• Clean up job sites after work is completed, ensuring that all waste and debris are properly disposed.
• Assist in documenting work performed, including service reports, equipment specifications, and any necessary records.
• Serves to advice foreman and employees of possible safety hazards, assists in all supervision, and maintains a safe work environment.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and answering basic questions regarding the work being performed.
• Assist in routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, changing filters, and lubricating moving parts, to ensure efficient operation.
• Install insulation materials to protect and improve the energy efficiency of the HVAC systems.
