This position supports experienced HVAC Technicians servicing multi-site national account customers (retail/restaurant/commercial). You’ll assist with preventive maintenance and light repairs on rooftop units and split systems, handle basic documentation in the dispatch app, and help keep routes on time and compliant with customer SLAs—while learning the trade and safety best practices.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with insurable MVR; ability to travel regionally (day trips + occasional overnights).
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs, work at heights/on rooftops, and in hot/cold/outdoor conditions.
  • Reliable, coachable, safety-first mindset with clear, professional communication.
  • Ability to use basic hand/power tools and follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Able to pass standard background and drug screen; authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA 608 Type I/II (or willingness to obtain within 90 days—company support available).
  • Trade school/NCCER/OSHA-10 coursework; prior HVAC PM experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with a CMMS/dispatch app (e.g., ServiceTitan/ServiceTrade/FieldEdge).
  • Basic electrical fundamentals (low-voltage checks, component identification).

Responsibilities

  • Assist technicians with PMs and light repairs on RTUs, split systems, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment.
  • Perform basic tasks: filter/belt changes, coil cleaning, drain clearing, lubrication, fasteners, and site housekeeping.
  • Stage tools/materials, set up roof access and fall protection, and maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Capture photos, model/serials, readings, and complete checklists in the CMMS/dispatch app.
  • Communicate professionally with store/site contacts; follow sign-in/out and customer protocols.
  • Drive company/assigned vehicle on multi-site routes; protect tools, inventory, and paperwork.
  • Follow LOTO, ladder/roof safety, PPE requirements, and Upchurch/customer safety policies.
  • Support after-hours calls as needed and participate in on-call rotation after onboarding.
  • Collaborate with the lead tech to ensure on-time PM completion and quality workmanship.
