About The Position

A.B. May is a family-operated plumbing service provider in Kansas City. The HVAC Flip Tech works on aged HVAC equipment, helps customers understand repair-versus-replacement options, and recommends new equipment when appropriate. Requirements

• 3–4 years of HVAC Technician experience.
• Great customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Ability to handle heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Successfully complete the screening process, including assessments, interviews, background checks, and drug screens.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics, crawl spaces, and basements.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work at heights, including on ladders and elevated platforms.
• Manual dexterity to handle electrical tools and equipment.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions during outdoor installations.

Responsibilities

• Run calls on aged equipment.
• Educate customers on repair-versus-replacement options.
• Present recommendations for new equipment and provide value to customers.
• Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
• Educate customers on proper system operation and energy-saving tips to maximize efficiency.
• Attend periodic company or manufacturer training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
