About The Position

Since 1999, Radiant has been Austin’s bold and quirky solution for plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. We take our work seriously, take care of our customers, and invest in developing great technicians. We’re looking for an experienced HVAC Field Supervisor who knows residential HVAC inside and out and can help our installation teams deliver quality work every time. This is a hands-on field leadership role, so we need someone who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, coaching technicians, and making sure the job is done right.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of HVAC field experience
  • Strong residential HVAC installation experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to inspect HVAC installations and identify workmanship, airflow, performance, and code concerns
  • Experience with ductwork, airflow, system startups, and equipment commissioning
  • Ability to coach and develop installers in the field
  • EPA Certification
  • Applicable state licensing as required
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable using an iPad and basic computer programs

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control inspections on new HVAC system installations.
  • Ensure installations meet Radiant's standards for quality, safety, performance, and code compliance.
  • Run warranty and recall calls related to new installations.
  • Diagnose installation issues and complete or coordinate corrective actions.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to installation and service technicians in the field.
  • Coach installers on proper installation practices, troubleshooting, and customer communication.
  • Work with the Installation Manager each morning to review jobs and help crews get loaded and into the field efficiently.
  • Support crews on complex installations and challenging calls.
  • Verify and adjust airflow following ductwork and system installations.
  • Meet with inspectors when needed.
  • Assist with sizing and planning for large duct replacement projects.
  • Communicate recurring installation concerns to management so additional training can be provided.
  • Build relationships with manufacturer representatives to stay current on equipment, technology, installation practices, and potential product issues.
  • Ensure warranty parts and returned materials are properly documented and processed.
