About The Position

Viviano Heating & Air, a leading residential HVAC contractor, is seeking a hands-on Field Manager to lead day-to-day field execution, quality control, and installer development within the residential HVAC installation department. This is a key role for someone who is both technically strong and comfortable leading crews in the field. The right candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for installation teams, helping ensure every job is completed safely, efficiently, profitably, and to Viviano’s standards. We are looking for a working technical leader who can bridge the gap between field execution and business performance. The Field Manager will support installation crews in the field, troubleshoot technical issues, inspect job quality, coach installers, coordinate with sales when scope or field conditions change, and help drive consistency across the installation department. This person should be proactive, solutions-oriented, and deeply knowledgeable in residential HVAC systems. The goal is to improve first-time completion, reduce callbacks, protect gross margin, and ensure customers receive a high-quality installation experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant residential HVAC installation experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential HVAC systems, installation practices, codes, and troubleshooting
  • Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring installers in the field
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues and provide practical solutions on-site
  • Strong understanding of job quality, callback reduction, customer experience, and installation efficiency
  • Ability to review job details in advance and identify potential risks before crews arrive on-site
  • Clear communication skills with installers, sales team members, customers, and company leadership
  • Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to work alongside crews when needed
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple jobs, crews, and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Track record of reducing callbacks, improving crew performance, and protecting job profitability
  • Comfort working closely with sales teams to resolve scope gaps and customer communication issues

Responsibilities

  • Review active job sites to ensure installations meet company quality standards, code requirements, and best practices
  • Serve as the first point of contact when installation crews encounter technical issues or unexpected field conditions
  • Provide hands-on support on complex or demanding installations as needed
  • Identify quality issues in real time and address them directly with installers in the field
  • Help ensure jobs are completed correctly the first time and reduce preventable callbacks
  • Review the daily installation schedule to identify jobs with added complexity, unusual system configurations, or higher execution risk
  • Proactively brief installers before challenging jobs, including recommended approaches, potential complications, and best practices
  • Confirm crews have the right materials, equipment, information, and job notes before heading to the site
  • Help prevent avoidable delays, rework, or customer issues through stronger front-end planning
  • Serve as the operational link between the installation team and the sales team
  • Contact the Comfort Advisor when field conditions reveal a scope issue, discrepancy, or missing information
  • Loop sales back in when customer communication, re-scoping, or expectation-setting is required
  • Help ensure clean handoffs from sale to installation and a strong customer experience
  • Ensure installers consistently follow Viviano’s installation procedures, safety protocols, and workmanship standards
  • Document and address deviations from standard practices in a constructive and timely manner
  • Help develop and improve installation SOPs, field checklists, and quality control processes
  • Reinforce consistency across crews and job types
  • Identify installer strengths, weaknesses, and development needs through direct field observation
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and training to address recurring quality issues or skill gaps
