Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking experienced engineers for the HVAC Engineering Team to fill the role of Facilities HVAC Engineer. This role supports the Samsung Facilities Operations Group and oversees central utilities critical to semiconductor wafer FABs and external customers. The scope includes chilled water systems, cooling towers, process cooling systems, steam and hot water systems, exhaust fans, scrubbers, thermal oxidizers, and process vacuum. These facilities systems are designed for continuous 24/7/365 operation. The HVAC Exhaust Engineering team technical leader is responsible for system quality, reliability, capacity, and air permit compliance. This role drives air abatement process optimization, collaborates with the Environmental Health and Safety team for TCEQ air permit compliance, and works closely with FE department leads for uninterrupted facilities support. Additionally, it provides technical leadership for CDA systems and process vacuum systems, and supports the Facilities Services in managing and executing the process exhaust air system test and balance program.
