About The Position

Fox TV Stations (FTS) owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations, including stations in 14 of the top 15 markets and duopolies in 11. Eighteen are FOX Network affiliates, and together the stations produce approximately 1,300 hours of local news every week. FOX LOCAL, the company's free ad-supported digital and streaming product, extends that news, weather and local content across connected TV & mobile devices. LiveNOW from FOX expands the FTS portfolio even further as the only national streaming services to be truly live 24/7, covering breaking news and events as they happen.

This role involves hands-on operation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and heating systems, fire prevention equipment, and plumbing. The HVAC Engineer will also supervise external vendors for large equipment repairs and communicate effectively with management regarding outstanding issues. The position requires organizing and prioritizing work orders, and experience with Outlook and Building Management systems. Knowledge of water treatment procedures for various water systems is also necessary.

Requirements

• Certified as Operating Engineer
• FDNY COF Q-01/99 and CFC Licenses
• Standpipe/sprinkler S-12 & S-13 COFs
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in HVAC plant operations
• Plumbing experience
• Experience with Outlook and Building Management systems
• Must be able to work flexible hours and various shifts including overnight

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Class E fire alarm system, control panel (FCS) and portable fire extinguishers
• Other FDNY certificates a plus

Responsibilities

• Hands on operation, maintenance and repair of air conditioning and heating systems
• Maintenance and repair of fire prevention equipment including fire and house pumps, standpipes, sprinkler systems
• Operation and maintenance of compressor banks, BMS, AHUs, VAVs, boilers, pumps, VFDs, Generators, domestic water tower, pressure tanks, inergen fire suppression, water heater, dampers, actuators, chillers and cooling tower operations
• Plumbing experience working on sinks, toilets and urinals
• Supervise external vendors for large equipment repairs
• Communicate well with management on all current and outstanding issues
• Organizing and prioritizing work orders
• Knowledge of water treatment procedures for all closed/open loop and house water systems
