About The Position

The HVAC Department Manager oversees day-to-day operations, ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards. This position serves as the primary leader for overseeing staff, coordinating labor, materials, subcontractors, and customer communication. Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in residential HVAC service and installation operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of heating, cooling, ventilation, and indoor air quality systems.
  • Ability to coach and support field teams while driving operational results.
  • Familiarity with local HVAC codes, permits, and industry regulations.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on efficiency, profitability, and quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • EPA Certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • RI HVAC license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and support a team of HVAC Technicians. Set performance standards, enforce safety protocols, and foster a culture of accountability and professionalism. Conduct regular coaching, ride-alongs, and performance reviews to ensure team success.
  • Coordinate daily workflow for HVAC service, maintenance, and installation teams, and ensure compliance with all codes and safety regulations. Work closely with dispatch and office staff to maximize team efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for increased sales and profitability within HVAC operations. Monitor KPIs, manage team productivity, and ensure targets are met or exceeded, while driving department performance.
  • Provide hands-on support in the field when needed. Serve as a technical resource for the team and ensure all work meets our quality standards.
  • Ensure customers receive high-quality, timely, and respectful service. Proactively address concerns and lead the team in delivering a top-tier customer experience.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor plumbing staff. Build a positive team culture focused on growth, skill development, and retention.
