About The Position

Honeywell International is seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Controls - Field Service Technician to join our Building Automation team in New York City, Queens, The Bronx and Brooklyn, NY. This is a Union position (Local 3) supporting the design, installation, commissioning, and servicing of advanced Building Automation Systems (BAS) utilizing Honeywell and Tridium Niagara platforms. In this role, you will work on high‑profile projects for delivering reliable, high‑performance HVAC controls solutions to commercial buildings such as high-rise office buildings, hospitals, and schools, to name a few.. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on technician with strong technical expertise, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. You will report to the Senior Field Service Supervisor in Lake Success, NY. This is a 35 hour work week. You will follow a Monday through Friday schedule, working 8:00AM to 3:30PM. OT is available after 7 hours on any week day.  You will be provided with a Company vehicle and all necessary tools, a gas card, laptop, phone and P card for parking and materials purchases for clients. Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, program, and troubleshoot Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Develop system databases, map points, and configure front‑end workstations and graphics
  • Interpret and implement sequences of operation
  • Commission and start up HVAC control systems
  • Work with industry protocols including BACnet, LonWorks, and Modbus (HTML/Java experience a plus)
  • Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and control drawings
  • Collaborate with internal project teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure successful project execution
