HVAC & Building Automation Monitoring Specialist – Overnight
About The Position
Kelso Building Services (KBS) is seeking an HVAC & Building Automation Monitoring Specialist for their new Digital Operations Center (DOC). This overnight role is the frontline of KBS’s 24/7 remote monitoring and support services. The specialist will be responsible for real-time monitoring of customer building automation and facility systems, responding to alarms, customer emails, and phone requests. They will execute defined triage, escalation, and dispatch workflows according to customer-specific policies. This position is process-driven, detail-oriented, and mission-critical, serving as the first point of contact between customer facilities and KBS service delivery teams. Level 1 Operators focus on alarm qualification, communication, documentation, and execution of predefined remote service tasks, while building foundational knowledge for advancement within the Remote Operations organization. This role offers the opportunity to utilize HVAC experience in an indoor, high-tech operations center environment, supporting commercial building systems remotely.
Requirements
- Experienced HVAC, BAS, and Facilities professionals
- Years of experience in HVAC Service, Building Automation, Facility Operations, Maintenance Engineering, Critical Facilities, or Mechanical Systems
- Ability to work overnight shifts
- Willingness to participate in weekend rotations
