Position Summary Under the guidance of the Lead HVAC, assists with the installation, troubleshooting, inspection, repair, servicing, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems while ensuring safe condition and operation of all HVAC systems across our customer base. Essential Functions The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC equipment, including refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, receivers, condensers, chillers, cooling towers, forced air units, pumps, valves (manual and automatic), expansion valves, and capillary tubes. Perform routine preventative maintenance inspections on HVAC systems such as boilers, gas and electric air conditioning units, and isolated heating and ventilation equipment; make necessary adjustments or repairs. Receive, prioritize, and complete daily work orders in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain accurate records of labor hours, material used, and work completed. Monitor and manage an inventory of tools, parts, and materials; report shortages as needed. Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure work areas are clean. Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure proper function. Other Responsibilities Collaborate with supervisors to ensure the project meets or exceeds customer expectations. Identify and correct unsafe working conditions; immediately report any uncorrectable hazards to the supervisor. Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area. Support other departments or trades within the company during staff shortages, absences, or light construction projects as needed. Other duties as assigned.
