HVAC Apprentice Installer
About The Position
Jetson is looking for extremely motivated and passionate HVAC apprentices to join their team in fighting climate change by disrupting the residential HVAC industry. This role involves removing gas furnaces and installing heat pump systems, utilizing classroom and hands-on experience alongside seasoned crew members. The company values individuals who are excellent at their craft, curious about new tools (including AI), and motivated to continuously improve work processes. Jetson aims to make clean energy simple, transparent, and affordable by building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company.
Requirements
- Completion of (6 - 12 months) of a recognized HVAC program or combination of program work and 1 - 2 years of related equivalent work experience
- EPA Type II or Universal Certification (required)
- Valid (unrestricted) Drivers License
- Knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Familiarity with blueprints and schematics
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong desire to learn best practices in a team environment
- Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
- Experience with modern tools, including AI, to automate and make your day more efficient.
- Follows OSHA Electrical Standard
- Follows the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) standard
Nice To Haves
- Hands on experience related to HVAC system install or service preferred
Responsibilities
- Install new heat pump systems alongside experienced Installers
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and replacing filters
- Test HVAC systems to ensure proper functionality
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and building codes when installing or repairing systems
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineering teams on the product and processes
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and questions
