The projects are hydro power generation with scopes including roadway development, significant structures including dams, spillways, tunnel waterways, inlet/outlet structures, hydromechanical equipment, mechanical and electrical systems, and site facilities and buildings. The High Voltage (HV) Electrical Lead will be responsible for engineering, coordination, and technical oversight of the HV electrical network that includes the 500 kV system, GSU transformers, 18 kV Isophase Bus, Generator Circuit Breaker and Current Limiting Reactors. The role supports EPC execution through design development, interface management, constructability, and construction/commissioning support for a large, pumped storage facility comprising underground powerhouse, shafts, tunnels, intake/outlet works, and surface facilities, in accordance with SRP requirements, applicable codes, and Bechtel engineering procedures. A key part of this role is collaboration with JV partner, Design subcontractor and the Customer. The Senior Electrical Engineer shall work with the team to establish regular meetings with the design subcontractor and other external stakeholders as required and reporting cycles for managing, coordinating, and assuring the design. The HV Electrical Lead will be a solid leader and collaborator who will be the primary interface with various Owner Furnish Equipment (OFE) suppliers including HV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), 138kV Power Transformers, and 35kV Switchgear. In this role, you will utilize individual technical knowledge to interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate with the OFE suppliers for execution scope. You will participate in coordination meetings, project planning, monitoring the schedule, and delivery of critical equipment to ensure that the suppliers are on track to meet the project schedule. Your technical guidance and recommendations will ensure engineering aspects meet project requirements and remain within scope and budget. In this role, you will have oversight of all aspects of the scope being executed by the OFE suppliers and coordinate with the Bechtel team to ensure that any input needed by OFE suppliers are being provided in a timely manner. You will participate in technical reviews with the OFE suppliers for critical deliverables. This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.#LI-RM1
