About The Position

Support in vivo oncology research studies in mice as a member of the Vivarium Operations Husbandry Team. This role involves daily animal care, health monitoring, sanitation, and data recording within a research laboratory and vivarium setting.

  • 1 year of related experience in a Contract Research Organization or similar research setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cage checks and weekly cage changes.
  • Monitor animal health and report animal health concerns.
  • Perform general sanitation on equipment, rooms, and facilities.
  • Transport materials, supplies, and waste.
  • Assist with surgical staple removal and study randomization.
  • Record data within room logs and the laboratory information management system.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to study protocols.
  • Perform general preparation and organizational activities, including supply organization and stocking, and laboratory organization.
  • Work weekends and holidays on rotating basis.
