Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Human System Integration Engineer (T03 level) / Sr Principal Human Factors Engineer (T04 level). This position is located in Roy, Utah, and supports the Sentinel program.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Demonstrated experience utilizing UI/UX design principles
Experience using Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project and Engineering Scheduling tools or applications
2+ years of Systems Engineering experience
2+ years working in requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS)
Educational background in psychology, human factors, user experience, graphic design, industrial design, or HCI-related field from an accredited university, and at least 5 years of related experience with a bachelors degree; OR at least 3 Years of relevant experience with a master’s degree; OR 1 Year with a PhD degree. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree (for T-03 level)
Educational background in psychology, human factors, user experience, graphic design, industrial design, or HCI-related field from an accredited university, and at least 8 years of related experience with a bachelors degree; OR at least 6 Years of relevant experience with a master’s degree; OR 4 Years with a PhD degree. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree (for T-04 level)

Nice To Haves

Past/Active employment with MMIII or Sentinel Weapon Systems
4+ years of Systems engineering experience
Experience with any of the following tools and languages: DOORS, Cameo, Teamcenter, CPLM, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.) for the development of complex systems of systems
Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities
Ability to build software prototypes for usability testing of candidate designs
Experience with visual design of computer user interfaces
Human Factors, Psychology or similar degree
Experience with Human Factors in a defense contracting environment (familiarity with Mil-Std-1472G and ANSI/HFES 100-2007), DoD UI/UX Design Experience
Demonstrated experience with prototyping/wireframing tools
