About The Position

This internship offers an opportunity to combine technical skills with big-picture thinking in Human Spaceflight. The intern will assess risk for lunar systems using physics-based modeling techniques, develop skills in modeling & simulation, and gain mentoring and experience in the Space industry. The role involves translating real-world needs into technical specifications to deliver customer-focused engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience with mechanical design, simulation, and dynamic system modeling.
  • Experience developing Graph Neural Networks and Model Predictive Control frameworks and applying to physics-based, integrated systems.
  • Scheduled to obtain a master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field by Summer 2027.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience applying machine learning (ML) to solve engineering problems with modern ML frameworks, such as PyTorch or Tensorflow.
  • Experience programming in Python, NVIDIA Warp, or C++.
